Being retirees with a mortgage, Deborah and Garry weren’t able to move to the Sunshine Coast and be closer to their family. Now being the proud new owners of this $1.3 million waterfront home they can!
“It’s a dream come true and we are so grateful,” says Deborah. “Ten years ago we moved away from the Sunshine Coast. Since then of course more grandchildren have arrived,” says Garry.
Deborah is a strong supporter of Endeavour Foundation saying, “We know the beautiful work you do with people with disability. “We never cared if we won. We know we are giving to help other people.”
Grateful to be back with their family, they are proof that “if you don’t buy a ticket, you can’t possibly win”.
Your support changes lives
Your generosity will give someone like Bridie a place to call home, and an environment in which they can live a fulfilling, independent life.
Bridie’s intellectual disability left her unable to easily communicate her needs so much so that she requires specialist care. Her mum, Delia struggled to get the support Bridie needed and it took a toll on the whole family.
Moving into supported living didn’t go smoothly for Bridie at first. Unsuitable housing meant she was unhappy and her wellbeing was at risk. Delia fought long and hard to get the care and support her daughter deserved — and moving to Endeavour Foundation did just that.
Donations made to Endeavour Foundation gave Bridie a safe and happy home, with the specialist care she thrives on. Having the right people and care around her meant that she could be better understood.
Your kind gift gives someone like Bridie the opportunity to live their best life.
